UFC295: Prochazka vs. Pereira

UFC 295 suffered a major blow in the weeks leading to the event. Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic was the original main event with the heavyweight championship on the line. But Jones suffered an injury in training, forcing him off the card and delaying the dream fight to next year. Prochazka vs. Pereira was elevated from co-headliner to the marquee with the vacant light heavyweight title on the line.

Former light heavyweight champion Prochazka makes his Octagon return and is looking to regain the title. Brno, Czech Republic native last fought in June 2022, when he dethroned Glover Teixeira by submission in the fifth round to become a new champion. Former middleweight champion Pereira is looking to conquer a new division. In his previous bout in July, the 37-year-old of Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil defeated former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz by split decision and made successful 205-pound debut.

This fight card is sure to be filled with action, and there’s no better place to watch it than LIVE AND LOUD on one of Canberra’s biggest screen in the Onyx Lounge.
