UFC289: Nunes vs Aldana

Get ready for a double main event of explosive proportions as Amanda Nunes defends her World Bantamweight Championship against Irene Aldana, while Beneil Dariush takes on Charles Oliveira in a lightweight clash.

In what was originally meant to be the third instalment of a trilogy fight against Julianna Pena, who was forced to withdraw from the card with an injury. Nunes is one of the greatest UFC fighters of our time, a dual-division champion, she also holds a belt in the featherweight category, that of which she hasn’t defended since 2021. An underdog heading in, you shouldn’t count Aldana out early, with many tipped the Mexican challenger will be the one to shock Nunes. Sitting at 14 wins and 6 losses, could she be the one to take the crown?
