Functions at Casino Canberra

Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions have been designed to ensure your event at Casino Canberra runs smoothly.

Tentative Booking:

We will hold a tentative booking for 14 days, to confirm the booking a 25% deposit of the total function cost must be paid.

 A copy of these terms and conditions must be signed and will be kept on file.

 NO DEPOSIT…. NO CONFIRMED BOOKING.

 Deposit & Payments:

The deposit will be forfeited if the function is cancelled within 30 days prior to the event date. Full payment can be made prior to the function, final payment must be finalised before the client leaves Casino Canberra premises. All major credit cards and cash is accepted.

Prices:

Prices will remain fixed for three (3) months after the booking agreement has been made. Beyond that period of time Casino Canberra reserves the right to alter the prices to reflect any mitigating circumstances but will advise clients accordingly.

Cancellation:

Written confirmation of cancellations is required. If a function is cancelled within 14 working days, the confirmation deposit, and 10% of the total cost of the function will be charged. Within 7 working days the confirmation deposit and 25% of the total cost of the function will be charged.

Surcharges:

A surcharge of 15% will be applied to the total food and beverage account for functions held on Sundays and Public Holidays. An additional $200.00 will be charged for each hour or part thereof that a function continues beyond the agreed time.

Security Charges:

A security charge of $40 an hour is required at a ratio of 1 security officer to every 50 – 100 guests for nightclub style functions. For 21st birthday parties a security deposit of $500 is required prior to the commencement of your function.

Final Numbers:

The final guest numbers must be confirmed within 72 hours or three (3) working days before the function. If numbers decrease and notice is not given within 72 hours the original guest numbers will be charged. If the number of guests increases the client will be charged the extra per head amount.

Final Details:

Function details or plans cannot be changed 24 hours prior to the day of the function. (Manager’s discretion may apply for extreme circumstances).

Damages:

Any damages incurred by function clients due to unacceptable or extreme behaviour may incur an extra charge including cleaning, breakages, or replacement of goods. Casino Canberra takes no responsibility for items brought by clients, their guests or other patrons including theft or damage. A cloakroom is available at reception for coats or some items of personal belongings. (As determined by management)

Photography:

Patrons are not permitted to take photographs or capture images in the Casino. However, for functions located in the nightclub an application for permission can be made. If approval is granted a signed copy of authorisation will be on the function file.

Extras or external services:

Any additional extras, services, or client arranged special requests included with the function within the premises of Casino Canberra must have prior approval from the relevant Casino Manager.

Start & Finish Times:

The client may request prior access to the function room with the Function coordinator. Unless there is a prior arrangement access to the room will be 30 minutes prior to commencement. At the agreed function completion time the Supervisor will advise the client that the time has come to clear the room, after 15 minutes lights will be turned on and function staff will proceed to clear and clean the area. Failure to leave at the agreed time may incur an additional $200 per hour or part thereof. If final payment has not been organised the client must settle the account before leaving Casino Canberra premises.

Set-up, Dismantle & Deliveries:

Clients are responsible for all costs associated with any approved personally arranged equipment, items, or displays. Clients must have approval for any special requests. Management will advise of appropriate access, deliveries or pick ups prior to their arrival and collection. All items must be clearly marked with a name and date of the function. These times must be within Casino Canberra’s operating hours and by prior arrangement.

Security:

Casino Canberra reserves the right to charge the client for extra security if deemed necessary.

Consumption:

No food of any description may be brought onto Casino Canberra premise without prior arrangement. If a cake is approved a cakeage fee may be charged for the cutting and plating of the cake.

Display & Signage:

Signage cannot be placed in any area of Casino Canberra without prior approval by casino management.

Parking:

All parking is subject to availability, there is parking within the covered paid Convention Centre Car park next to the Casino or free parking next to the Civic Pool on the corner of Constitution Ave and Allara St.
