Australia’s biggest pop star of the sixties, created pop riots with hits like ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’, ‘Shakin All Over’ ‘Kay Sera Sera’ and ‘Ooh La la’. Famous also for his stage performances in the musical ‘Les Miserables’, which he played to great acclaim in over 600 performances. And who will forget the hugely successful Long Way To The Top concert series where he played to 160,000 people Australia wide and the CD/DVD became a hit along with the national television broadcast.

Normie Rowe has been inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame and was also recognized by the Australian War Memorial as a National hero.

McALISTER KEMP: Multi-award winning Australian country music duo McAlister Kemp write, record and perform music that touches on core values, real people, great fun and great music! Their debut album produced three #1 singles ('All Kinds Of Tough', 'Hell Yeah', 'Hard Work') and the duo were rewarded with a ‘Best New Talent’ Golden Guitar at the Country Music Awards of Australia and a CMC Music Award for 'Best New Oz Artist in 2011.

Drew McAlister and Troy Kemp, both born and bred country boys and both cast to perform in ‘Aussie’s Walk The Line’ show, a tribute to Johnny Cash.

Fat City 1 & 2 July

Australasia’s premier international festival of spontaneous theatre, Improvention brings together the world’s best theatrical improvisers in more than twenty shows, all in Canberra CBD from June 30th – July 7th, 2012.

Opening at The Canberra Theatre Centre’s playhouse with a showcase of international talent and Australian celebrity performers, (June 30), the fun moves to Casino Canberra for Fat City on July 1 & 2, and then The Street Theatre from July 3 – 7.

Audiences will see everything from laugh-out-loud comedy similar to Thank God You’re Here or Whose Line Is It Anyway, through to fully improvised musicals and serious drama.

GALAXY NIGHTCLUB

The nightclub for those who remember the 80s and want to revisit the 90s. Situated directly above the casino's main gaming floor, Galaxy is safe and sophisticated. The Club opens every Saturday night from 9pm and the excitement continues through until the small hours of the morning.

A cover charge of $10 applies but if you are a regular or plan to attend with a group, books of 10 entry vouchers can be purchased from Guest Services for half price at only $50.
